Montreal is the first North American city to become home to Bixi, a new large-scale bicycle sharing system. It’s a setup that’s computer-chip based, solar-powered and Wi-Fi-enabled.
One Response to “Bixi’s High-Tech Bike System Comes to Montreal”
Mackinac Island has a system like this. Its called “borrow a bike” when you leave the bar. Leave it on the sidewalk in front of your house then someone else going the other way will “borrow” it and leave it back in front of the bar. Its a beautiful, low cost system and government doesn’t have to pay a thing. Of course that’s on an island.
